Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation

As a young man, Wang Chao-tung used to drive taxis and trucks. He always listened to tapes of the Buddhist Dharma and speeches by Master Cheng Yen. In 1985, while helping his wife  to recite Amitabha for the deceased, he changed career and went into the funeral business. Through this new profession, he began to become aware of the impermanence of life.
Since he is working for a family business, he is able to control his own time. His elder sister invited him to volunteer and put to good use his skill in driving large vehicles. He has driven his sister and other volunteers all over Taiwan for their Tzu Chi work. Mile after mile, he has taken on the mission of bring goodness to others.
